Too many times, I've seen people pour their hearts and souls into writing, arranging, producing, and recording beautifully profound music, only to settle for a cheap, lifeless, and hollow mix/master. You're shooting yourself in the foot if you let this kind of mentality win.
A great mix can be the hook that instantly grabs your audience and leads them to give your music the attention it so desperately deserves. It can separate your music from the ever-growing pile of garbage that's currently clogging up Spotify's algorithm. Sometimes, it can even be a deciding factor in whether a band get's signed or never leaves their hometown.
