The Adobe Patio Gallery offers a fond farewell to our wonderful artists and patrons! The gallery will close its doors officially on June 30, 2016, after 33 years of exhibiting some of the finest contemporary local and regional artwork at several galleries, culminating with our Adobe Patio Gallery located in the Mesilla Mercado.

We want to celebrate with a Closing Sale: up to 50% reductions on our existing artwork inventory. Among the artists whose work is represented: Mary Beagle, Carolyn Bunch, Lydia Dillon-Sutton, David Drummond, Georjeanna Feltha, John Garrett, Linda Giesen, Jennifer Goude, Joyce Macrorie, Tony Pennock, Marie Siegrist, Penny Simpson, Ouida Touchon, James Wakeman, Jean Wilkey, Daphne Wirthlin, and Mary Zawacki.

This Saturday, Dec 19th, is the closing reception for the Border Artists' Small is Beautiful 2 show. Please come by the gallery to visit with the artists and view the exhibit between 2 and 4! We will be serving treats and spiced cider.

Small is Beautiful 2 is a holiday time artwork event featuring smaller pieces that a highly affordable. Much work has sold, but we've refreshed the exhibit with new pieces from the artists. If you missed the show opening this is your opportunity. We look forward to seeing you!

Come by the gallery today for homemade cookies and cider (11-3 pm)!

We will have an artist presentation from 2-4 pm by Margaret Berrier, demonstrating her silver jewelry techniques! (Today, Sat. December 12)

The Border Artists show Small is Beautiful 2 continues at the gallery, along with wonderful new works from our roster of artists. In addition to the gallery we also have dozens of new items perfectly suited for holiday purchase in our gift shop!

Best Wishes to all during this Holiday Season! We'd like to make a correction to the dates for our December Saturday events. Please join us on Saturday the 12th and Saturday the 19th, from 11-3 for cider and homemade cookies! The info we'd listed on our postcard was incorrect, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

The Border Artists continue their Small is Beautiful 2 show, and in addition we have many wonderful new pieces on display from our roster of distinguished local and regional artists. Our gift shop is full of delightful art objects, including wearables! Adobe Patio Gallery is the place to go for unique holiday gifts this season! We look forward to seeing you.

We are so pleased to show Mary Beagle's wonderful sculptures in the gallery, and we've just placed on display her newest work, "The Potter". White and orange alabaster with turquoise inlay. Isn't this new piece just gorgeous?

Our plein air exhibit, Out in the Open, continues at the gallery thru June. Mary Beagle's work, along with that of the other regular gallery artists, will remain on display thru the summer. We look forward to your visit!

Gallery hours are 11-4 pm, Tuesday thru Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday.

We hosted our first Plein Air Paintout! last Saturday at the gallery and it was a smashing success! So much fun for everyone involved!

Four paintings were selected as "winners", but we did not rank them and are listing them alphabetically. Special thanks to Mary Zawacki for her invaluable contributions to this event.

We were especially delighted to have both Las Cruces and El Paso artists take part. Candy, Oween, and Krystyna came up from El Paso, and Lindy is a Las Crucen. Thanks to everyone who took part in making this such a delightful experience! These paintings are currently displayed in the Out in the Open exhibit which runs thru June. Do come by!

We're so excited about this Saturday's "Plein Air Paintout" at Adobe Patio Gallery! Everyone's invited to attend and follow the artists as they work throughout Mesilla creating their plein air artworks.

The gallery will be open at 11 am, and the artists will be bringing their paintings in around noon. Respected artist Mary Zawacki will be judging the work which will then be displayed in the gallery.

Please join us this Saturday, May 23, for this very fun event!

Here are a couple of wonderful plein air paintings from our artists: a landscape from Julie Ford Oliver, a Mesilla woodshed from Bonnie Mandoe, a patio doorway painted by Oween Rath, and a Las Cruces landscape from Mary Zawacki.

Fabulous opening event here at the gallery yesterday! Thanks to the wonderful crowd that attended. We loved meeting everyone and sharing our artists and their fine work with you!

We are sponsoring a special plein air painting event and will post details on that soon. A great opportunity for the participating artists to flex their artistic "muscles" and much fun for the public to view true artists at work. Stay tuned.

It's arrived! Out in the Open opens to the public today, Saturday, May 2, 5 pm at the Adobe Patio Gallery! View the work of thirteen outstanding plein air painters, and new work from other gallery artists.

Enjoy our patio garden - which has never looked more beautiful! - with live music from talented Anthony James, wine and hors d'oeuvres, and the pleasure of spending two hours with the artists and their work!
