MASTER CLASS ADDED!
During his stop in Phoenix as part of the touring company of Phantom of the Opera, Weston Krukow will be teaching a master class at Ballet Etudes! (Fun fact: He was our Nutcracker Cavalier in 2011!) His class will take your passion for technique and apply it through a working professional lens. Storytelling, maintenance, and audition prep are his favorite things to focus on. Get ready to tendu plié and so much more for his class!
Weston Krukow, a University of Arizona School of Dance alumni, has performed most notably with San Francisco’s Smuin Ballet, Chicago’s Lyric Opera, Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular, Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera in New York and all over the world, the National and International tours of An American in Paris, and most recently A Chorus Line’s 50 anniversary evening at the Schubert Theater on Broadway. For television, Weston has danced for Marguerite Derricks (Etoile, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Camille Brown (Harlem), John Caraffa (The Gilded Age, Westworld), Susan Mizner (Elsbeth), and Ben Stiller (Severance) to name a few.
He produced, choreographed, and danced in BaseBallet: Into the Game which is a documentary film showcasing the athleticism of dance. This was featured on NBC Sports Bay Area, Virgin and Alaska Airlines, honored in a dozen film festivals nationwide, and received five Emmy awards. Weston is based in New York where he teaches on faculty for the Institute of American Musical Theatre while his freelance performing adventure continues to thrive in pre-production labs, music video contracts, and commercial projects which keep him busy throughout the year. Currently you can catch him on the National Tour of Phantom of the Opera where he’s a featured dancer in his third iteration of the show.
