Jonathan Gonzales (Jonathan Gonzales) brings heart to the vulnerable lone boy on the dance team, Luke!
Get to know the cast of "Dance Nation" as they prepare to take the stage on November 6th!
Q: What has your journey with the show been like?
A: “It’s been a blast! This show isn’t quite like anything I’ve been a part of before and Luke’s been a great character to dive into.”
Q: What do you think is the biggest strength of our ensemble?
A: “It’s difficult to explain, but it feels like everyone is approaching the work with rather different artistic philosophies, which lends a great deal of authenticity to this particular show.”
Q: What has been a highlight of the rehearsal process, for you?
A: “In general, getting to work with Kaitlyn (our director, for those who don’t know) has been both fun and artistically fulfilling. If I had to pick a specific moment, being informed that I’m the first actor she’s had to tell to be less weird was certainly a highlight.”
Q: Who is your favorite character in the play and why?
A: “Maeve. She’s very peculiar (affectionate) and seems like the sort of friend you could trust when you’re at your lowest.”
Q: Why should people come see "Dance Nation"?
A: “It’s funny, thought provoking, very bizarre, and a little tragic. What more could you want?”
