We're delighted to be joined by Lexi Long at our next Sunday Sampler East concert. Lexi is a Space Coast singer songwriter and a hard working woman. She's making her way around Florida and every venue she can find to share her original music. She plays guitar and slide banjo and her songs are unique and compelling. Lexi opens for Florida's own folk legend Larry Mangum on Sunday, September 6th. We can't wait to have our first show at our new venue, Sam's Island Music. When you need to get the job done, get the pros! Today our own Marcy Brenner and local singer/songwriter and fabulous fix it guy Dane Bradford put up a curtain at Sam's Island Music. It will serve as a lovely backdrop for the stage at our new venue. Team work makes the dream work! We are so excited about our new venue and hope we see all our friends at our inaugural event in September 6th with Larry Mangum and Lexi Long!

Our next Sunday Sampler show features Larry Mangum, along with Bob Bronar and opening act, Lexi Long.

Pulled from the VISIT ST AUGUSTINE website... "St. Augustine's Larry Mangum is a troubadour if there ever was one. A vital component of the folk music scene revival, Mangum was born with music in his blood. His mother was the guitar instructor for the phenomenal and highly successful Randy Travis, while his grandfather was fiddle player Brenton Drye, and his uncle, Homer Briarhopper, was a famed 1930s radio personality. Mangum also knew, loved, and learned from local legends of folk music Will McLean and Gamble Rogers prior to their passing. An award-winning songwriter, Mangum has written musical tributes to both of these legends, earning him a first place award at The Gamble Rogers Festival in 2005 and 2008 and the third place award at The Will McLean Music Festival in 2006. His ensemble has also been named "Best Country Band" in the Southeastern United States—twice."
