Well 2024 wasn’t real nice to me as far as being able to get to the shop. The few times I had the time the weather wasn’t nice! 😂 Hopefully I can hit the reset button! Have these for starters.

More project cleanup. Two shaving brushes. Left one has a maple handle and a chrome decor cup and is made with a badger hair knot (no animals harmed in the making of the knot). Right one is a brown synthetic knot with a wood I am not sure about but it looks like some kind of rosewood, it was just laying around in my shop. One more knot left then on to something else.

Been cleaning up some projects that have been laying around that I sort of forgot about. Part 1 is three magnets in random acrylic that I have laying around from an earlier idea that didn’t work. The magnet inserts I used here are 3/8 inch wide and there are other sizes available. Total width is somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 inch. They are also quite strong for no bigger than they are!

Two things. First I am officially excited to announce the BIG news I hinted at a while ago. I have moved! Maybe at this point more like still in the process of moving as my shop is still where it has always been which is in my dad’s shop but my new place has all the fixings for me to eventually move my tools to my own place! There will certainly be a post when that is done! Now the latest project I made is a bracelet. This one has two starfish around the turned Azurite/Malachite center on a black leather band. Other colors of leather available as well as other options if you don’t like the starfish. As always I can also turn whatever you want for the insert.

Here’s one for the ladies. This is a moon cameo pendant (necklace chain not included). The plating on this one is antique silver and there are a few more options. The cool thing about this one is that the center piece rotates to show two different sides. Shown here on both sides is Sunnspot Kirinite, one side showing more red and the other more yellow, but I can put different materials in the two sides. There are also many other accessories for both men and women and I can also make bookmarks for the readers out there using the same process I use to make this.

Chrome keychain with black and white honeycombz acrylic. Honeycombz is an aluminum honeycombed metal cast in a colored acrylic. Other colors are available and I can also get knife scales in this material. Turned a lot easier than I expected and I can’t say I’m disappointed with the results!

Hey everyone! Long time no talk! I have been horribly neglecting posting on here, however I have not necessarily been neglecting the shop. Want to hit the reset button with some new hats I got since the one from several years back started falling apart. Big thanks to Chas at Sandhills Custom Creations for the nice and speedy work! Planning on doing a catch up post later and then back to normal. Have a good night!

Got a pen from a fellow pen turner for Christmas. Once I saw it I recognized what kit it was and added it to my lineup. These are Vertex click pens. The gift (on the left) is a gunmetal one with a Thin Gold Line blank for 911 Dispatchers. The one I made (on the right) is a gold one with a southeast Asian wood called Koko. I love the hexagonal ends, they make a good place to hold as you write!
