Day 2 of MLT’s Camp Centerstage! Today our young actors were cast in their roles for the last day’s production they’ll put on, worked on set construction, their music, and stage combat! Tune in tomorrow to see what they get up to next!

MLT’s Centerstage Summer Camp, Pirates, Princesses, and Pixies, kicks off today! As you can see, our lobby and the Linda Davidson have been transformed this week to fit the theme 🧚

While our performances may LOOK professional, it’s important to remember that the Meridian Little Theatre is a community theatre, and where would we be without our amazing community? Currently, many of our “regulars” are involved with Stage 2’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and we would love to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work of our MLT family!

Hunter Dungan, our guest director for Gypsy, is directing the show, while Andrea Thaggard, our in-house costumer, is lending her talents to dress the actors. Rachel Thaggard, our director for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, is the set designer, while Virginia White, one of our frequent actors, is the stage manager. David Bayles, our sound designer, and Hannah Thaggard, one of our light designers, are working their magic for Shakespeare’s most performed play. Dan Talley, our set master, constructed the sets. Cooper Tibbetts, most recently seen as Dainty June in Gypsy, has choreographed the production, while a plethora of our beloved “theatre teens (with a special shoutout to members of MLT’s thespian troupe, Tyler Hopson and Noah Thaggard)” have various roles on and off the stage and have spent the past two months rehearsing every day to bring you a fantastic performance!

So if your weekend is free, come out and support our MLT family and see A Midsummer Night’s Dream at MCC! Our teens have been working hard, and we want you to experience the amazing show they’ve created!

Reminder that Monday is the deadline to sign up for MLT’s summer camp!

Spend your summer with Meridian Little Theatre at this year’s summer camp, “Pirates, Princesses, and Pixies!”
From June 15th through the 19th, your child will learn numbers and scenes from their favorite fairytale stories. Receiving instruction from trusted facilitators, student, volunteers, and camp director, Rachel-Kate Thaggard, campers will explore theatre fundamentals like scenic design, costuming, lighting, music, dance, and so much more!

Congratulations to the cast of MLT’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame! We’re so excited to bring Disney’s classic musical to our stage for the first time in Meridian Little Theatre history! Mark your calendars, for show dates are July 31st through August 2nd, and join us in congratulating the cast!

What a window!! The lighting designer for MLT’s Hunchback of Notre Dame is currently in Paris where she stopped by to see the cathedral in person! Only two more days until the tryouts for Hunchback begin, and audition registration is on our website!
