The Meridian Temple Theatre for the Performing Arts is a non-profit, 501c3 rental venue staffed completely by volunteers. She offers a full stage, orchestra pit, stadium seating for 1600 people, and a 40' movie screen with digital and film projection capability. A separate Ballroom with kitchen can accommodate up to 500, and a second-floor, intimate little bar known as the "Speakeasy" is suitable

for a group of about 40 people. The Temple, formerly home for the Hamasa Temple Shrine, is listed on the Mississippi Register for Historic buildings. The doors have never closed since 1927. Guided tours are available by appointment only, Tuesday-Friday for $10 per person or a minimum of $50.
