unded the series in 2016 and the series moved to Meriden in 2020. Each year the Series produces eight shows in the church and four outdoor summer events. The indoor shows offer affordable home-cooked dinner options in Fellowship Hall and FREE and easy parking in the garage at 24 Colony Street. The Olde Church Series thanks our generous sponsors including: MEDCO, City of Meriden, Prentis Printing Solutions, Gallery 53, Telefunken Microphones, CUNO Foundation and Meriden Foundation and of course CT's supportive radio stations: WPLR's Local Band Show, Cygnus Radio, WESU, WHUS, and iCRV Radio.

It was a magical night for the Olde Church as we celebrated 10 years of the acoustic series founded by Mike Wilcox and Kate Garrahy in Mar 2016. Beppe Gambetta, Auburn Mode and the "Olde Church Songbirds" provided joy to all. Sincere thanks to our loyal audience and the great team we are lucky to have making it all happen. Our Story

Connecticut’s “Old Church Concert Series” was founded in March 2016 by Mike Wilcox to provide a unique venue for up and coming Connecticut-based acoustic singer/songwriters. With Mike’s blessing, in Feb 2020, the Series is moving to a “new old” church, the historic First Congregational Church in Meriden - a facility that provides inspirational architecture, excellent acoustics and even a Steinway piano. In the warmer months, the church offers a magnificent and cozy outdoor venue.

Come start your weekend on a high note with great music and delicious, reasonably priced “home cooking” from the church’s full kitchen. Admission to the show is by donation - whatever you can afford. First Congregational is only steps from the Meriden train station and also offers plenty of convenient parking. We are pleased the tradition Mike started will continue and the response has been wonderful and supportive. Special thanks to Telefunken, Connecticut public radio stations like WESU, WWUH, WHUS and Internet radio Cygnus Radio and ICRV Radio.
