QUALIFIED: Eloy De Leon of Los Buzzards punched his ticket at Smokin' on the Rio 🇺🇸 for a shot at $1,000,000 at the first ever BBQ World Cup! From Weslaco, Texas to Las Vegas!

When the kids left home, EJ and his wife Debi tried a few hobbies before landing on barbecue, and that one stuck.

Los Buzzards have been competing at Smokin' on the Rio for 22 years, and this past February EJ and Debi walked out as Grand Champions, with the support of Modelo Especial.

The two of them run the whole operation together, and they are making history: this is the first time a team from the Rio Grande Valley has qualified for Las Vegas. We'll be sharing more of their story throughout the year.
