Join us for the Merry Unbirthday reception for the sneak preview of Why is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?
📍 UC Merced Art Gallery (SSM106)
⏰ 4–7 PM
Come dressed in your best Mad Hatter-inspired attire, Wonderland chaos, or most delightfully unhinged outfit. Those who dress up may receive a small exhibition memento while supplies last… 👀🎁 🐦‍⬛

And yes… there will be cake!🎂

Our GASP student artists and interns have been busy transforming the gallery into a curious preview of what’s coming this fall. Right now you’ll see works taped up, propped up, and mid-installation as we build toward a full immersive exhibition experience of sculpture, multimedia, printmaking, and installation art.

Each shirt carries a voice.

This exhibition reminds us that behind every message is a person who chose to speak, to share, and to transform pain into visibility. These shirts are not just fabric—they are acts of courage.

Take a moment to walk through, to witness, and to reflect.
Listening matters. Bearing witness matters.

Join us tomorrow for the Showcase and stop by the UCM Art Gallery (SSM106)to experience The Ground We Share exhibition. There will be food too! 😋
👉This is the last week of the semester to see the exhibition…👈
💙BUT we’ve extended it into next semester, so there’s more time to experience/ take part in this evolving campus community art project.💛

💬 Showcase Activity:
Our craft table will be open in the gallery! Create a small note or visual response to add to our growing Bobcat Artist Statements Wall and become part of the exhibition.

✨ Reception Tomorrow! ✨
Join us for the opening reception of The Ground We Share: A UC Merced Origins Project tomorrow at 6 PM at the UC Merced Art Gallery! 💛🐾

This exhibition is still evolving and what you’ll see tomorrow is just the beginning of a living, growing project. Over the next few weeks, new artworks, stories, and community contributions will continue to be added as we build toward a major December showcase.
Come see the early phase of this powerful exhibition, meet the student curators and artists, and learn how you can add your story to the Bobcat Story Wall. ✍🏽🎨
