Theatre can be in any setting small or large with any budget. This powerful video shows us just how much of an impact it can have on people. It is definitely something to be thankful for this thanksgiving.

The CUW Theatre Department offers courses that cover script writing, directing, stage and on camera acting, various aspects of production, and technical craft & design. “Shakespeare belongs to US, the Theatre! Not to the English department. When we walk out on stage and we open up our chest cavity and pour it out we bring the text to life and reclaim the rightful ownership as it was intended to be. We must never forget the power we hold to revive, recreate, and reimagine the texts of long ago. That is the essence of performing Shakespeare.”

A few years ago when we put on MacBeth we had a KCACTF respondent watch our performance and talk to the cast about it afterwards. Today, on Shakespeare’s 454th birthday I’m reminded of what that respondent told our cast. Check out this fantastic performance of one of the most well known Shakespeare passages brought to life by actor Andrew Scott.
