The "Edwards Mansion" is full of railings, cupolas, gables and strange little towers. Fun to paint, but confusing. I decided to forego the cupcake appearance of its pink and blue latest paint job, and instead focus on shadows and my see-through technique.

Mersereau March Madness was a success despite the threatening skies. I'm now going into "Treasures in Another Garden" mode. This event will be the weekend before Mother's Day. Will have more info soon.

For those who braved the rain and came to Mersereau March Madness, Thank you! It was a success. I also acquired someone's umbrella. I hope to return it because it looks like rain. Again!

I'm working on another full-size flower painting. It will be shown at my next event: Treasures in Another Garden, April 30 and May 1. I'll give more information nearer then.

Sunday Gene Sasse, talented photographer and publisher of many books, will showcase his limited edition book of Sam Maloof. Also will sign and sell his books of 2 Milford Zornes shows. Zornes was my mentor and teacher from 1969 until his death in 2008. I have been honored in Sasse's 2010 book with 2 pages. Sunday will have an earlier opening, from noon to 4. Come! 951-787-0847
