The Boyceville Cucumber Fest mural will be installed next week and unveiled as the kickoff of this year's festival on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30pm!

Location: 1001 Main Street, Boyceville, WI

"Leading the project was Andy Goretski of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, who served as both the mural designer and project leader. Goretski guided the creative process from concept to completion, transforming historical photographs and community memories into a visually engaging work of art that reflects Boyceville's unique heritage. His artistic vision and leadership were instrumental in bringing the project to life."

🚨 Mural Location Announcement

The gorgeous Hmong Story Cloth mural will officially be installed in mid-August at Menomonie Market Food Co-op. This location ensures the mural is in a central location right next door to the Menomonie Farmers Market, where many local Hmong families are vendors.

From the artists: "This mural entails the journey of our people, first from fleeing Laos and Vietnam by crossing the Mekong River, then spending years in refugee camps to try and get to sanctuary. After flying to America, it shows the Hmong migrating across the country to places like here, Menomonie, WI in search of land and education to provide for the future generations. It all encircles our people and our traditions, such as one of our people’s most popular traditions we have brought to America, our Hmong New Year, where we celebrate the past year, our family and friends, and our ancestors. Activities and entertainment such as pov pob (ball tossing), playing the qeej (traditional Hmong instrument), line dancing, and singing songs in the Hmong language are activities you can see at most Hmong New Years."

More details of the installation and mural dedication will be posted at a later date.
