Well, our time in Gander has come to a close, and we have nothing but LOVE for this story, the characters and the lessons we have learned from our time with the "Come From Aways"! ❤

Thank you to every friend, family, and community member who shared in this journey with us. We were privileged to perform the show to full audiences each night, joining together as humans to laugh, cry, and cheer together. We are SO grateful!

Thank you to show Director Carol Diser-Ropella, Music Director RuthAnn Ledgerwood, and Choreographer Alex Hall for their outstanding leadership. We could not have done it without a LOT of very hard work. Thanks also to those who volunteered to act, work backstage, play in the band (weren't they great?!?), create costumes, or work on set and props. It truly takes a village and we adore ours!

COMMUNITY ACTING OPPORTUNITY

The local Hmong Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event at the Rassbach Museum next week and is looking for paid actors to help portray some characters there. If you are interested, please reach out to Zia Yang ASAP at [email protected].

Community Boo Fest
Thursday, October 22
5:30-7:30 PM
Rassbach Museum, Menomonie

Roles: Wolf and Pig; actors of any gender are welcome.

Script: Completed and provided in advance; no need to memorize word-for-word, and improv is welcome.

Performance: About a 15-minute debate and brief audience Q&A, followed by interacting with families in character for the remainder of the event until the winner of the vote is called

MC/Moderator: Our staff member, who has theater and improv experience and wrote the script, will handle this role.

Costumes: We have a half face wolf mask and pig nose and are flexible with attire.

Payment: $100 Amazon gift card per actor, provided at the end of the event.

There's NEVER a dull moment at Menomonie Theater Guild. At the same time the cast of Come From Away was performing at the Mabel Tainter Theater, auditions were being held at the MTG Studio for our upcoming holiday production.....A Christmas Story! 🎄🎅
