Founded in 1958, Menomonie Theater Guild is the oldest community theater group in western Wisconsin. Our main stage season produces plays and musicals at the historic Mabel Tainter Theater, while our children's programming continues to expand to meet the artistic needs of our community.

The Menomonie Theater Guild box office is officially closed today, but will reopen on Wednesday, June 17th from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Tickets are available online anytime at menomonietheaterguild.org. We hope to see you soon!

ACTUAL video of your dance skills after attending Menomonie Theater Guild's Musical Theater Dance Class, starting TONIGHT at the MTG Studio. 😍🤣

Well, maybe not QUITE.....but you will have an opportunity to move your body, learn some basics, and joyfully connect with community. Classes begin this evening at 5:15 - 5:45 PM, and will run Wednesday and Friday until July 10th. A $5 donation is requested, but please attend regardless of ability to pay - all are welcome.

Summer is here and it's time to get your body moving and grooving. 💃🕺

Don't miss this round of Intro to Musical Theater Dance classes at Menomonie Theater Guild. Join us beginning on June 10th for this beginner friendly class for ages 13 and up in an encouraging and uplifting environment. Suggested donation of $5 per class, but please attend regardless of ability to pay - all are welcome!

FAQS:
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing for movement. Jazz shoes or ballet slippers if you have them, sturdy socks or bare feet if you don't. Sneakers/tennis shoes don't work well if they have grippy soles, as that makes it hard to turn.

What if I can't attend all of the classes?
No worries! You can drop in to one or two or however many work with your schedule. You will not be expected to know routines from previous classes.

What if I've never danced before?
Welcome! We're happy to have folks of all levels of experience, aged 13 and up.

MENOMONIE THEATER GUILD'S 2026-2027 SEASON
The announcement we've all been waiting for!

Starting us off in October is a musical directed by Carol Diser-Ropella. We can't share what it is right now, but we are sure you will love it!

What better than a classic movie coming to life on stage! Join us for the play "A Christmas Story" directed by Jared Robinson in December.

Speaking of classics, you won't want to miss the timeless story of Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women," adapted into a memorable musical directed by Melissa Kneeland and Erika Svanoe.

Finishing out the season will be the play "You Can't Take it With You," directed by Samantha Newport. Join us for this beloved and popular comedy!

More information about each show and auditions will be posted on MTG's socials and website (menomonietheaterguild.org) so be sure to follow along.

The 2025-26 Menomonie Theater Guild season has come to a close, and we can't wait to CELEBRATE the year and the many fantastic moments we've enjoyed together!

It's time for YOU, our beloved audience, to weigh in on your favorite moments, performances, and scenes during the four amazing productions we enjoyed in 2025-26.

Join us for the Menomonie Theater Guild's Annual Meeting, Monday, May 18th, as we celebrate another incredible season of community theater!

We are grateful to our community partner, The Mabel Tainter, for generously hosting this year's event in The Spirit Room. A social meet and greet will be from 6pm-6:30pm, where light refreshments will be available, as well as a cash bar. The meeting will then begin at 6:30pm, where we will gather to reflect on a memorable year of performances, programs, and community impact.

The meeting will include:
Annual awards, presentation of our annual student scholarship, board reports, a recap of the past season, voting on executive board positions, and a look at what is in store for next season.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Love Shakespeare and looking for a fun way to get out of the house and connect with community this summer? Join us TONIGHT (5/13) at 6:30 PM or TOMORROW (5/14) at 7:00 PM and audition for the 2026 Shakespeare in the Park production of As You Like It.

Please prepare a Shakespeare monologue (under two minutes) and come ready for some simple and fun movement exercises. There will be copies of some suggested selections if you have difficulty choosing one on your own.

The director plans to pursue some non-traditional casting, so don’t let your ideas of who you can play stop you from trying something new.

SHOW SYNOPSIS:

“We that are true lovers run into strange capers.”

As You Like It follows a group of people who leave the strict, intolerant court to find joy, love, and community with other outcasts in the forest. There’s gender bending, hijinks, a clown, troublesome goats and troublesome brothers, and maybe some redemption!

MTG AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣📣

Shakespeare in the Park was a BLAST in 2025, and we are thrilled to bring it back in the summer of 2026!

This year's production will be As You LIke It, directed by Alice Langby and talented team of volunteers. Shows will take place on July 10-11, 2026 at the Wilson Park Bandshell. We've already got our fingers crossed for perfect weather this year! 🌤😎

Want to get in on the FUN? Auditions will be held THIS WEEK at the Menomonie Theater Guild studio building, located at 502 West Second Street in downtown Menomonie. You are invited to attend one of the audition sessions listed below:

Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM

Hey, hey, hey! We made it to the weekend, it's time to CELEBRATE! 🎉🎉🎉

What better way to add JOY to your life than a trip to the theater to catch a performance of this phenomenal show?! Menomonie Theater Guild is proud to present weekend two of Fiddler on the Roof. You will laugh (and maybe cry) as their story unfolds on the stage of the beautiful Mabel Tainter Theater.

Tonight's audience (5/8) is full, but select tickets remain for the performances on Saturday at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Get yours before they are gone at menomonietheaterguild.org, or for walk up sales at the theater beginning one hour before each show.
