Hidden fairy ~ a decade later.🌿✨️

This weekend I'm having the INSANE honour at Magicon of holding a panel about STAGEPRESENCE on sunday,
AND being host for the first ever Noric K-pop championship at Oslo Konserthus. My biggest *THING* so far as a stage-MC-Mic-hogger, I'd say...!
I am BEYOND flattered,

But also ended up with the biggest "wardrobe-panic" in a long time.. After moving back home all my cosplay things are ALL over, and also deciding on something that gives *glam* but not too distracting? Hard.

But i figured for sunday, THIS beautiful piece!🦋
For MCM London Comic Con back in May !!2017!!
I made myself a pretty cute Fairy dress, together with my gorgeous and talented friends who spent much more time actually sewing and prepping hehehe✨️

The "dress" is a two piece dress, with a long flowy top and a Skirt made out if loads and loads of strips of chiffon! :)

l am however gonna do something VERY different with it for MagiCon tho!

As im knee deep in prepping for this weekends sheanigans, i fell over my PIP-boy prop and realised i never posted

For NÄRCON 2024 I did a very quick Lucy from the Fallout TV series—and GOSh darn HOW FUN.

The suit is just my old welder’s overalls doing their best post-apocalyptic impression, but the real star here is the Pip-Boy 👀
Fully functioning, built by 3D-printing the casing and repurposing an old phone - glued together the day of the con, because… of course I did
Is it screen-accurate? Maybe not.
Does it feel right? Absolutely yes.
Did i LOVE Running arround with random valuta dwellers and playing my fallout radio while Kindly bothering everyone to give me thumbs up? WELL DARN RIGHT.

Quick builds like this remind me why I love cosplay: a little ingenuity, a little chaos, and a lot of fun. But I WILL do this one properly this year - just gotta find someone to watch season two with me first.😂🖤

[Chest/armour PROCESS/progress so far!]

I'm sooo happy that so many of you enjoyed my pictures of Chani, and some of you probably know that I work quite a bit with foam for props and such - BUT it's been a couple of years since my last armour-piece. This was SUCH a fun project to immerse myself in.

I started quite a while ago, but because of life and such, so 'bout 80% of this costume was made through evenings these last two weeks. It's not anywhere NEAR done - but I'd like to show some closeups of the initial steps.

Foam is incredibly fun to work with, but it requires some concideration and strengthening, which takes a bit of time. funfact, the actual movie costumes are apparently made of heat melded foam combined with gauze (but I assume molded, not contact/hot-glued pieces like mine hahah) Jacqueline West is INCREDIBLE. Also big thanks to cosplayshop/ 's free pattern, helped the groundwork for initial shape!

For details so far, I've gone with alot of "budget/resourcefullness"-solutions, cut up a bunch of electrical cords, used discount biasbinding in layers ( brilliant idea!)
Some of it is also repurposed foam from old projects -
All surfaces got a huge amount of "rubber-spray/off-hand plastidip and last minute weathering. Some paintrub, a tad of actual spice, and a TON of makeup-powder Hahaha.
And I'll go back inn and add ALL the little things thatll make it PROPER before having a full shoot when it's warmer outside. 😎✨️

It's been a while - but,
I've got a really fun 'lil thing this weekend:
I'll be at Odeon cinemas for Birds of Prey - as the badass Black Canary, making some noice and kicking some a.. - jk. I'll be hanging around the awesome Tenkou Cosplayas Harley 😻
Hoping to see some familiar faces, and soooo excited for these heroines getting some awesome screentime!

This first costume was pretty much made in two-three days time, for less than 250NOK / £20

This is my take on a slightly broadway musical inspired Jasmine-costume, but ofcourse - with the beloved gigantic hair from the Aladdin 1992 movie!
The costume is all by me, but not entirely finished. Will definitely upload more cool pictures to this one! :D

This weekend I'm attending Torucon 2019: A World of Secrets, where I'll be "working" at the Toruship! Today I'll be wearing my "makeshift blue wrap-dress" the from Wonder Woman 2017 movie! NärCon Sommar 2019! is closing in, and I am sooo excited. I've got a few cool things in progress, BUT FIRST, lemme take a minute to show you a couple of my favorite pictures from LAST Närcons sheanigans, first of Teenage LILO,
