Some painting activity lately, plus have 5 paintings in exhibitions here in Sonoma County right now! The 2 exhibitions are "The River" at the Occidental Center for the Arts (4 paintings) and the Sebastopol Center for the Art's Member's Exhibition (1 small painting from the "Objects from my Kitchen" series (photo of painting - black frame - from the Opening below). Recently I updated and completed a couple of small equestrian paintings that I had started a while back (photos below). These are part of a group I am working on for an Exhibition "Farm Life" in South Australia next August, 2018. Pays to start early!! This week I have started work on a series of Paintings inspired by my trip to Monet's home and garden in Giverny. A few more of the Giverny series yet to be painted - 2 underway so far - a work in progress photo of one of them below - "Giverny Pond - View to the Bridge, Fall 2017". Such and incredible place, even in fall, when the water lilies are not in flower. Plus I have a couple of commissions that need attention over Xmas to NY.

The Art show at the Grand National Rodeo and Horse Show is on this weekend and next 14-15 Oct and 20-22 Oct. 12 of my oil paintings are on display - Judge's Choice Award and lots of other ribbons! Very exciting! This painting is in the show.

12 oil Paintings handed into the Grand National Rodeo, Livestock and Horse Show art exhibition. Open next 2 weekends. Lots of horse and farm theme classes, which is a great fit for so much of my work! Stay tuned for updates!

Catching up on Art shows this summer - currently have 2 paintings in the Graton Galleries, Graton Sonoma County "Anything Goes" Juried Exhibition. There are a couple of weeks left to get there and take in the wonderfully diverse selection of art in the Gallery. Worth the drive! and take in some local wine or cider ... Here are my paintings hanging - 2 more plein air works "Crystal Springs, Summer" (16 x 20, oil on canvas) and "SF from Chrissy Fields" (9 x 12, oil on panel).

It has been a busy season of Art Shows for me this summer. Thrilling to have 7 paintings juried in to 4 shows in the US, and another SALA exhibition in Pt. Kenny, South Australia! In the US, currently ongoing is the Graton Gallery, Graton, Sonoma County, CA, "Anything Goes" Exhibition (2 paintings); and completed are the Pacific Art League "Summer Exhibition" in Palo Alto, CA (2); "Equine Visions fundraiser at the WHAM Gallery in Arizona (2); Burlingame Plein Air Annual Exhibition (1). My studio in Sebastopol is coming together - set up now for painting, and I have been painting! Hooray!! Finished off the Horses in the Meadow (the back pasture here). See below. Plus my little set of barn helpers in the studio chair on a cold and windy day - nice to have an admiring audience of purr-ple

Next to work on the gallery space in the studio, and in the house. Have the finished paintings in the house ready to sort out and hang. The weather was so beautiful yesterday I painted a couple of sketches of the spring garden from the back deck. Photos to follow when the paint dries. Endless inspirational material right here!
