Looking back at such a special evening under the redwoods.

Our Dance the Redwoods Gala brought together dance, live music, delicious food, and an incredible community, all in celebration and support of Mendocino Dance Project.

After a beautiful September sharing Natural Pathways, it felt especially meaningful to gather, celebrate, and experience the work together.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and made this evening one to remember. Until next year!

What a beautiful way to close out Natural Pathways and this year’s Dance the Redwoods Gala.

To everyone who came out to experience the performances, celebrate with us, and support Mendocino Dance Project, thank you. Your presence and support are what allow us to keep creating, performing, and bringing dance into our community.

A huge thank you to our incredible dancers and artists who brought Natural Pathways to life, our sponsors and partners who believe in what we do, and every volunteer and helping hand who worked behind the scenes to make it all possible.

This September, the redwoods become our stage for Dance the Redwoods, a series of performances rooted in movement, nature, and the landscape that inspires our work.

Join us for our upcoming public performances on September 19, 20 & 27 at 2 PM, or experience the work as part of our Dance the Redwoods Gala on Saturday, September 26 from 4–8 PM at The Brambles in Philo.

Wrapping up another beautiful summer of Youth Summer Camp. 🌿

Every summer, we get to watch young people build confidence, challenge themselves, and discover new ways to move and create.

Through climbing gear, dance technique, and an expanding movement vocabulary, campers explore what their bodies are capable of while connecting with the magnificent and rare ecosystem of the Mendocino Coast.

We’re grateful for another season of movement, curiosity, connection, and time spent together outdoors, and to all the campers and families who make this summer tradition so special.

Meet the guest artists bringing this year’s Dance the Redwoods Gala to life.

On September 26, join us beneath the redwoods for Natural Pathways, an immersive performance created in conversation with the landscape, featuring dance, vertical movement, and live music.

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome guest artists Marius Constantin, Lauren Godla, and Marie-Claire Dizin, with live music from The Blushin’ Roulettes.

And the experience continues around the table. Sophie Randone and Janelle Weaver of The Bewildered Pig will prepare an incredible Indian-inspired buffet for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

An evening of movement, music, food, community, and art among the redwoods.
