et it nestles within the charming little Victorian village. It can house a full symphony and seat more than 840 music lovers while being seen and admired from miles around. Since 1987, its principal conductor is Maestro Allan Pollack. Evenings in the Festival Tent include breathtaking concerts featuring the glorious Festival Orchestra, the popular Big Band concert featuring guest singers, chamber music ensembles, blues, jazz, world, folk, and popular contemporary music. Days include lecture/recitals at the Piano Series, performances from the young, outstanding emerging artists, and chamber concerts at beautiful, intimate venues throughout Mendocino Village.

Guest Francesco Lecce-Chong, Conductor takes the stage leading the Festival Orchestra with guest violinist Imai July 22. CBS News called Imai, “a rising star in the violin world, using music to tell stories.” The acclaimed young artist will perform Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto on a program with Shuying Li’s “Purple Mountains” and Beethoven’s evocative 6th Symphony “Pastoral”.

Festival favorite Julian Pollack returns with his popular trio July 19. The San Francisco Chronicle calls him a “ferociously assured and creatively dazzling pianist, composer, and arranger.” After extensive touring this year with Chris Botti, Terence Blanchard, and Marcus Miller, Julian returns to the festival stage to present his own solo and trio music. He will be joined by the incredible drummer Christian Euman known for playing with Jacob Collier, Rufus Wainwright, and Kurt Elling, as well as virtuoso bassist Max Gerl frequently heard with Arturo Sandoval and Veronica Swift.
