Welcome to Memphis We train hospitality employees to know about Memphis, offer customer service skills training, and recognize individuals for a job well done.

Our vision: The tourism and hospitality workforce is a skilled and knowledgeable population of friendly, down-to-earth people who know their city like true "insiders" and generously share their love of Memphis while providing excellent, unforgettable customer service. Because of these hardworking professionals, the Memphis area is a place where visitors feel welcomed by everyone they meet, where visitors learn more than they expected to learn about our destination and all that it has to offer, where visitors enjoy themselves - and make plans to come back soon. What we do:

We promote a new standard of customer service, raising expectations of tourism and hospitality professionals who welcome visitors to the Memphis area. We provide training and certifications for people who interact with visitors - aka Insiders. Learn more about our classes. We manage a recognition program called , and we host the Pick Awards to recognize Insiders who go above and beyond to welcome visitors to the Memphis area. We develop tools and resources to support Insiders across the spectrum of the industry, including volunteers and employees in restaurants, hotels, attractions, retail, transportation, tours, vendor services, arts and entertainment, and sports.

While working behind the scenes, Paul noticed a young guest crying over her lost teddy bear. He jumped into action, tracked down the bear on camera, safely retrieved it and returned it to her. 🧸❤️

When a mother-daughter night at the theater was running on a tight timeline, Natalie got them seated within 10 minutes and made sure they knew they were in good hands. Then Caleb went above and beyond to help them make it to the show on time, even sharing tips to get in and out quickly.
