I was always my own worst critic, and still am to this day...But being able to let my friends and family in and have the opportunity to share what makes me happy with ya'll is amazing feeling. Everything made @ ChicAgain is made with bold, bright colors....Each piece is meant to be a statement, conversation piece for your home, office, studio, bedroom...wherever you feel needs an eclectic touch. I

also do customize pieces...and LOVE doing them! If you have an outdated, bland piece of furniture wether it be an end table, or an old dresser, together we can brainstorm what color scheme describes your personality, and go over a few design ideas to make your furniture Chic Again! Welcome to Chic Again. My name is Shelby and like the products I produce, I too am better today than I have been in the past. I believe that everything, everyone, has an inner beauty that is just waiting to come out. Sometimes that inner beauty is temporarily stolen, that the purpose on this earth is hidden by circumstances, neglect or misuse. Here at Chic Again, you will find beautiful furniture and household items that I have nursed back from neglect and misuse to again reveal their inner beauty and make them Chic Again. I am a woman who has re-found herself and dedicate my artistic talent to bringing items back to life, words to create inspiration, and original art that expresses what I feel and see. These are the products of Chic Again. Most of what you will see here is my original art created in the hope that you discover it and fall in love with it. I know now that uncertainty is okay, because he’s always going to be here to guide me….

✨is it just me, or the older I get, the more that the simple, easy things in my life are what make me happiest these days?✨
I’m talking about early morning conversations with God. Just how happy the dogs are every time I walk in the door. Slow dancing in the kitchen.
Mixing up paints only to find the perfect shade.
Hitting high notes in the shower.
Late night phone calls with an old friend.
Losing track of time in the studio.
Fresh pair of socks….
or coming to find that you actually really like the person you see in the mirror…🩷
Maybe it’s because the older I get, the more I realize how short life is, and how much all the trivial, silly things just aren’t as important as I thought they were. Or maybe it’s that life has a funny way of playing out and letting you see what truly matters, and what does’t….
Whatever it is, I’m really grateful for all the things that make me, me…all the people that make life worth living, & all the small, simpler things that make life as wonderful as it is, even on yuckier moments….

✨Reaching for some of my favorite elements from my forever-faithful and always-growing paper stash, I grabbed colorful handwritten scribbles, sheet music from one of my favorite songs, bank receipts, always-interestingly designed security envelopes, and a few other surprises to coordinate these funky mini collages and finish up ✨
For most, . is a chance for participants to challenge their selves to complete any creative project they choose in 100 days..For me, right as I hit 40 days, my artistic journey took an abrupt and immediate swan dive into a creative awakening that encouraged me to really look inside myself, who I am and what I’m saying through my work….🌈
So was put on pause, until now, and I’m coming back to finish it out strong! Follow along with me as I orchestrate a set of 100 mini collages, all made with unique pieces of myself, all from my own paper stash to be sent out to 100 people once finished!! 💯

SO IM BACKKKK to FINISH UP !!✨
I was about 28 days in and life got me…and I realized I really needed to make some serious changes in order to be able to not only share my work, but continue on my QUIRKY, FUN, INTENSELY AMAZING. creative journey as a whole!!!
If you're somewhere between not understanding your place in this creative world, and missing parts of yourself entirely, take a few. steps back and. Remember why you started in. The first. Place, and always remember you're never alone! ✌️

I have been working on this particular Journal for about 6 months now, & I couldn't be more grateful, or excited about absolutely . EVERYTHING this journal has taught me since I started working on its first spread…🦋
I challenged myself to devote AT LEAST 15 minutes each day to practice and dabble with different techniques, styles, mediums, and color palettes….& I know that Im a better Arfist because of the freedom that came along. with creating each spread based. solely on how I felt that day, or how a particular song sounded, or a beautiful print on a scarf I saw at the store.
All in all, the past 6 months taught me that I can find inspiration absolutely anywhere, and that everything about myself IS MY OWN PERSOANLNSTYLE- from my handwriting, to elements I always come back to, to my favorite color….
Sadly, this journal was in a backpack that was “misolaced”, sochooefully whoever has my backpack will open and get as much joy from looking at these pages, as I got from working on them🩷✌️.
How y'all digging the different pages? Does any inenof them speak. to you more than the others and if so, what elements do you like best?!! ✨
