Due to the extreme cold and dangerous conditions on the slick downtown mall the Center for Southern Folklore remains closed until it's safe. Stay warm out there, we will reopen next week and remember that our "warm" jazz series is scheduled to return March 1.

Memphis can't get enough of Rufus Thomas. But even a top star like Thomas struck out once in a while. "The world's oldest teenager," who starred for both Stax and Sun Records, strikes out and mugs for the camera in this May 1985 charity shot.
