Two years ago, we made a flyer advertising the first full moon fire jam at Tom Lee Park. We had no idea what the outcome would be, if anyone would even show up, or if we would be asked to leave. It was a magical night and we all felt a sense of excitement for the future of our community.

To celebrate, we are going back to the river on Friday, September 25th, lead by Haylee Hearn and music by RaXx ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

6:30pm start. Sunset at 6:50pm. Music ends at 9:30pm.

Have you ever wanted to learn to eat fire? Now is the chance! Join Fauna Flame’s beginner fire eating workshop where we will go over the safety and technique to eating fire. This will be extremely beginner friendly, so no prior experience needed, just a little courage and the desire to taste the flame. 🔥

Fauna Flame has been spinning fire for 12 years and performing professionally for the last 2 years.

She learned to eat fire 2 years ago and it has quickly become her favorite form of fire to perform live, along with v***r manipulation. She trains this particular skill regularly so you can be sure you are learning from one of your local’s most skilled in the craft.

Don’t have a set of torches? No problem! Nine Flow One will be selling beginner torches on site, so arrive early to buy a pair for you to practice with! 🙌

We’re so excited to partner with High Expectations Aerial Arts this month for our August workshops. Join Ed, Danielle, and Sarah for an all-levels L-based partner yoga workshop. No partner required, just a willingness to explore basing and flying with others! 🦋

Yoga mats provided. Wear comfy clothes and bring your own water bottle to refill at Wiseacre.

Workshop starts at 6:15pm. Sign up online or in person. Please arrive 5-10 min before so we can get you checked in.

Happy Monday!! Today feels like a great day to announce the August Full Moon Jam! Thursday 8/27 at Wiseacre Brewing Broad OG 🔥🔥

Here’s the schedule-

✨ 6:15pm Acro Yoga with instructors from High Expectations Aerial Arts

✨7:15pm Beginner Fire Eating with Fauna Flame

✨ 8:15pm Fire safety meeting

✨ 8:30-10:30pm Fire Circle with DJ D'von Nathaniel 🥳

As always, the workshops are $15 each~ buy online or in person (in person must be at least 5 minutes before class starts). And the fire jam is FREE to enjoy!

Reminders:
‼️ Unless you’re spinning fire, you are not allowed in the fire circle
‼️ Everyone spinning fire should join the safety meeting and volunteer to be a safety during the jam
🚫 No parking past where the concrete meets the gravel

Snaps from the June Full Moon burn. We can’t wait to see y’all tomorrow night! 🔥 It’s gonna be a hot one, so bring a reusable water bottle to fill up inside Wiseacre.

Fire jam is free to the public!

Friendly reminder: No one except the Fire Dancers, who have signed the waiver, may enter the roped off fire area.

🔥 July Workshop Spotlight: Level Up Your Staff Flow with Moon 🔥

Calling all staff spinners! At 7:15 PM, Melody Moon Spencer will be teaching a workshop designed to help you unlock new skills with your contact or dragon staff.

Moon has been spinning dragon staff for five years and quickly fell in love with everything fire and flow. For her, spinning has always been a form of therapy and she’s excited to share that passion with you! ❤️‍🔥

In this workshop, you’ll learn foundational staff moves that, when combined, build into show-stopping intermediate tricks like the Angel Roll, Matrix Roll, Conveyor Belt, and more. The skills taught translate to both contact staff and dragon staff.

✨ All levels welcome ✨ However, this class is geared toward staff spinners who want to expand their trick repertoire.

We’ll have a few extra staffs available to borrow, but supplies are limited, so please bring your own if you have one. Feel free to bring extras to share with the community! 🫶

🔥 July Workshop Spotlight: Fire Baton Twirling 🔥

Join Jessica Haney for Fire Baton Twirling at 6:15 PM and learn the basic twirls and flashes that look insanely impressive! ✨ All levels! ✨

Jessica brings 30 years of baton experience and 25 years of fire baton experience. She has earned state, regional, national, and international titles, represented Team USA at the World Baton Championships for 5 years, and brought home 9 international medals!! She was also a Feature Twirler at Ole Miss and is now a nationally certified baton coach and judge.

She’ll be joined by two talented assistant instructors from St. Louis. One is a fellow former Ole Miss Feature Twirler, and the other is a current Feature Twirler at the University of Arkansas.

🔥 Fire batons will be available to use, plus LED/flow batons for anyone who prefers to learn without fire.
