This is how we grow our community, by showering love on those around us when we can.

- QCG Productions (Dyna Devine) - monthly circus and variety show - every last Saturday at Dru’s Place
- Sairen Strange - Strangehaus at HavenHaus, plus every second Friday at Java Cabana (starting Feb 13)
- Faline - Heavenly Bodies at HavenHaus 1-2x a month
- Fayetality - Chaos for a Cause (quarterly)
- Pansi Dandi - last Friday every other month, starting in Feb at Java Cabana
- Nova Kane - hosting but on temp hiatus
- Kitten Katastrophe - every other third Friday at Java Cabana starting Feb 20th, plus monthly shows at HavenHaus
- Bambi Dufaye - every other fourth Friday at Java Cabana starting Jan 23rd
- Ruby La Rue - Burlesque Karaoke at Lamplighter every other Thursday
- Moxie Macabre - goth night (next one Feb 8), sewing club every Tuesday at Lamplighter
- Shalena - Lamplit Bingo every 2nd & 4th Wednesday at Lamplighter
- Allison McArthur - Freakshow, open stage variety show on the third Wednesday of every month at lamplighter

3 years ago, a Ponyboi and a Popjoy had a dream. That dream was to create spaces for alternative drag and AFAB performers in Memphis. When we started in November 2022, there was only one regular monthly show in the variety market hosted by someone AFAB, and as of January 2026 - there are now at least 16 alternative show hosts and producers putting together events at your favorite local haunts, at least 4 of whom had their stage debuts in a Purple Umbrella Joint show!
With all of these other shows happening now in our city, I (Polly) have decided that it’s time to take a step back and let these other hosts have the reigns. PUJ is no longer going to continue doing monthly shows. I will still be producing shows this year - just not every single month. I’ve got dates booked for 4 kink show fundraisers this year, as well as 2-3 more dates on reserve for some big fun PUJ shows later in the year. Keep an eye out for submissions!

Thanks for all the love, q***rs! PUJ has been a wild ride, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people it’s brought into my life and all of the moments of joy we were able to create and share together. I will always have a fondness for those folks who have been with us since our 5 person cast days, to our 20 performer shows. I cannot wait to see where 2026 takes the Memphis alternative drag scene. Keep on creating!

My time with AFABulous (PUJ) is easily among the top five experiences of my life (the others are secret...). I'm so proud of us—and especially Polly—for all the love, sweat, tiddies, and laughs we've put into these shows. I love Memphis so goddamn much, and I love all the brilliant weirdos who constantly remind me that there's way more to life than simply surviving. Now, go f**k yourselves! Like, literally. Do it for us.

Some blue news for New Years - our January show is cancelled for PUJ due to scheduling conflicts at the venue.

BUT - PUJ will be back in February with a fairytale fundraiser - keep your eyes peeled for submissions opening early January!
