I remember one night, listening to a story and realizing I was holding my breath. Whew, these 11 kept me on my toes.

I had to build a container, make room for the them to tell raw, unflinching, stories.
So honored to have been a midwife to their memories.

I’ll stand as a witness as they share this Thursday 7/23. 6pm. You are invited to stand with me and bear witness to their bravery.

Oh yeah, it’s true. I was trying to hold the room together while quietly falling apart in the corner.

What a beautiful evening at Novel.
The literary salon, a follow up to my show at the Halloran Theatre was well attended, full of warmth, curiosity, and robust conversation. I’m still carrying the energy of the questions, the reflections, and the community that gathered around story, history, and creative possibility. Thank you to the Director of my show, the award winning, talented and skilled Claire D. Kolheim.
I’m deeply honored that Novel hosted this salon and created space for such a thoughtful exchange. And I want to offer a generous thank you to our wonderful moderator, Dr. DiAnne Malone whose thoughtful questions, care, and presence helped guide such a rich and engaging conversation. My friend is brilliant!
