It's a sad day for me. Jerry Jeff Walker, a true friend of 52 years has passed. I can't begin to say everything he has meant to me over the years but Rodney Crowell/Guy Clark lay it out succinctly in "Stuff That Works". Though they are speaking of a man and woman relationship, all those images hold up for any real love. I told him in a text a few months ago what I had thought for decades: You are the sun and I am one of your planets.
May he dance in heaven, just like Mr Bojangles.
