DID YOU KNOW?

•3 out of 10 menstruating humans skip class because of painful periods.

•There are also racial disparities for menstrual equity. A quarter of Black and Latina people with periods strongly agree that they've struggled to afford period products in the past year.

•Menstrual inequity—the unequal access to menstrual products, education and reproductive care—often goes unaddressed because of this reluctance, as well as a lack of awareness and education about the problem.

The issue won't be solved overnight but with your help we put a dent in it by donating supplies or financial support via Ruby Marx's Menstruation Drive at The Cookout: A Burlesque Family Reunion . For every donation you will recieve 1 raffle ticket during the show!

Charlie V Storm has spent more than 20 years training in dance, theater, and vocal performance. She enjoys blending genres and bending rules all for the sake of your pleasure and your paper. Charlie’s burlesque journey began in 2017 when she fell under the t***y tutelage of burlesque godmothers, Freya West and Shan De Leers of Nashville, TN. Still on the heels of her 2022 genre breaking debut, Charlie continues to learn across state lines with the Atlanta School of Burlesque and Cleveland Burlesque Academy. Annie Attomic (Knoxville Tn) .burlyq

Anne Atomic, the mistress of the macabre, has been performing burlesque since 2013. Hailing from Knoxville, TN, Anne is the Vending Coordinator for the Smoky Mountain Burlesque Festival and has worked on the production staff since the festival's inception in 2016. Specializing in bringing a touch of darkness to her work, Anne a proud member of Salomé Cabaret as well as an instructor with the Salomé Cabaret Burlesque Academy. Her other projects include co-producing Freaks & Cheeks Burlesque R***e at YamaCon and she is the resident costume director for The Satanic Mechanics, Knoxville's largest Rocky Horror Shadowcast.
