The August 6th Memphis Flyer features a well written article about my work by Kimberly Ham. You can easily access it on the Flyer's home page. The gallery is open Thursday-Saturday 9:00-3:00. It's a gorgeous space! And be sure to go upstairs to see Kate Roberts' ethereal work.

Vuillard at the Dixon! The cafe he depicts has a weightlessness to it due to how it's painted. Look at the chairs in the next slides. Sometimes the chair dissolves. Other times he tries to pull one away from the background but his white brush strokes call attention to the surface of the painting thus flattening out the space! I love being able to see how a painting was made. You can view this painting and others in the Cafe Society exhibit through September 6th. Free admission.

I'm happy my paintings are hung on the same wall with and Elis had a beautiful show here at Spalding Nix Fine Art recently. Check it out on SNFA's website. Scotty is known to me as a landscape painter but recently he's also been painting flowers. This huge show is on view through January 19 in Atlanta.

Painting inspiration photos from northern Wisconsin in September when I taught watercolor workshops at the Peninsula School of Art. This year the sky was usually clear and unbelievably blue. Only one problem: I'm inspired by clouds! so I added some photos from my 2023 trip. I 🩷 Lake Michigan.
