Musical Chairs Dinner Theatre returned on May 30th with an evening of music, storytelling, and connection. As guests rotated tables throughout the night, new conversations sparked and community grew. Together, we celebrated the culture and artistic spirit that define the Hattiloo experience.🌌🪩✨

The vibrant arts and culture of Memphis are alive and thriving at Hattiloo and all around! For nearly 20 years, we have proudly produced plays and programs that advance Black culture while cultivating a Black theatre that is accessible to, relevant to, and reflective of our multicultural community.

We are grateful to join ARTSmemphis and honored to stand alongside so many impactful arts organizations that help showcase the creativity, history, and cultural richness that make Memphis such a vibrant place to call home.

Hattiloo presents the BLKRenaissance901 Residency, a new artist development opportunity for Black Memphis creatives working in music, spoken word, and comedy. 🏘️

This residency is for artists with vision, discipline, and a desire to build something that reaches beyond the stage.

Through mentorship, production support, and structured development, selected artists will shape a public-facing creative activation that celebrates their art form and creates space for other Memphis-based artists.

BLKRenaissance901 invites artists to grow as creators, producers, collaborators, and cultural leaders within Memphis’ creative community.

Hattiloo is calling all up-and-coming playwrights ages 8–17 to enter the Next Voices: Youth Playwriting Contest!

One young writer will have the chance to WIN a $250 CASH PRIZE 💵💲 and have their work brought to life on the Hattiloo stage!
