the last time i had an open studio was in 2023 😭 it’s so crazy to be an artist that shares so much and always still has so much to share. this is such an intimate space to share my works - new, old & works in progress. please come and see what I’ve been hiding lol. it’s so sacred & im in a place to share and be seen. 😮‍💨 it be hard, but wow, I’M WORTH IT!

also, i haven’t announced it officially, but I’ve been invited to Naples, Italy 🇮🇹 in November as a fashion designer in a European pageant that will be aired on tv, Amazon & more places that you can stream stuffs 🤭🥰 i be nervous to share good news, but come celebrate wimme! i deserve this & had to convince myself of it! any art purchased will support my designer fees + travel funds. (ü are loved)

To honor The Matriarch, the mother before us all, the one who remains. To set an intention and follow through is a reflection of the visions implanted on us from those before.

My piece “Awakening” is dedicated to the ‘Medicine Wombman’. The Matriarch that is the healer. Using the womb to activate an array of healing tools that may then be activated through the hands — My Matriarch was a master artist of many mediums with her hands so it was my devout honor to be her seed & planted reflection.

Keeosha Armstrong (b. 1998, Memphis, TN) is an emerging visual artist that creates vibrant oil paintings that capture the intimacy and connection with her community, friends, and loved ones. Working from photos of people in her environment and intimate spaces, observations, and personal experiences. Through her use of bold colors, rhinestones and glitter, Armstrong creates authentic moments and the perspective of the Black existence and experience. Armstrong received her BFA from the University of Memphis in 2023. In 2020, she debuted her first solo exhibition titled, Love Languageat the Harriet Performing Arts center. Her recent group shows such as: The Nasty Women Memphis show at the Marshall Arts Gallery (2022), make me at the Fogelman Contemporary Gallery at the University of Memphis (2023), Chromatic at Arrow Creative (2024), and YAS MA’AM Crown Her Iconic Art Show curated by Chassidy Jade at the Medicine Factory Memphis.
