A message from Won't Look Back Booking Co-Founder Taylor Agee concerning the future of WLB:
This is going to be the most important thing I've posted in years.
As many of you know, we brought Won't Look Back Booking out of retirement this year after five years away to do two reunion shows. They were both so awesome and went better than we ever could have expected. Who knew so many of you still cared? It was genuinely amazing.
It got me thinking. Why does it have to stop after two shows? Why can't we all keep getting together? That leads me to my announcement today, which is that I am starting a new booking project: Refreshing Shows.
Ryan and I are still best friends. He simply has too many things requiring his attention in his day to day life to continue planning these things. Since WLB was something we started together, we thought it would be best to end it together, as well. So, WLB will head off into retirement once again, and today I'm crossing over into Refreshing Shows.
I don't plan on doing a lot of shows, but I do want these events to be unique, must-come experiences. I'm focusing on our local scene and hoping to shed more light on the fact that we have some seriously talented musicians here in Memphis. My good friends over at MFG Promotions are bringing incredible touring bands to town (like Copeland and The Black Dahlia Murder this month), and you'll be seeing me help them promote their shows, as well.
I've got a total monster of a kickoff event in the works for Refreshing Shows. That two-part announcement will be coming this Friday, November 18 and next Monday, November 21. Take my word for it - you'll want to be there.
Please follow Refreshing on all of your favorite social medias, and if you would, share this post. Your support throughout the years has been so crucial and continues to be of the greatest importance to me. I can't thank you all enough for everything.
Let's do it up big in 2017.
