Harold Hill has left River City. And we think Marian the Librarian went with him! We can't thank our volunteers, cast, crew, orchestra, local high school bands and staff enough for making THE MUSIC MAN one heck of a musical spectacle. Full houses and big smiles were the norm. The cast says "THANK YOU, MEMPHIS" for your support.
Up next, Shakespeare's comedy TWELFTH NIGHT in the Next Stage.

Always proper, Eulalie McKecknie Shinn (aka Debbie Litch) says, "I want to extend my heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited River City and this sold to capacity run of THE MUSIC MAN these past weeks. The cast has appreciated our audiences’ warm and enthusiastic response to this beloved, iconic musical. Also, what a great privilege and joy it has been to be a part of this amazing cast, crew, incredible designers, musicians, production and directing teams." And as she would also say, "Don't make me tell you again, the membership discount to Theatre Memphis ends September 8. Seven tickets for $140."
Final performances this weekend have extremely limited ticket availability. Tickets: 901.682.8323 or https://theatrememphis.org/tickets/

Celebrating the theatre community at the Ostranders was an extraordinary event this past Sunday. Congrats to all the nominees and winners. Looking forward to the coming season to see all the companies succeed and continue to entertain and educate us all.
As we go back on stage this Wednesday with THE MUSIC MAN, the gathering of the theatre community reminds us of just that ... we are one.
Join us in our last week of shows for THE MUSIC MAN to experience the joy that performing can give.

We're coming up on National Literacy Month and we salute the fact that theatre can tell a story in a unique way to engage. From page to stage makes a mark in the arts. So to honor that, here are some images from our production of THE MUSIC MAN in the Madison Public Library scene featuring Marian, the Librarian, in her efforts to keep order and interest in her special place.
Tickets are becoming very limited, but there is still some availability Sept. 3rd - 5th. Tickets: 901.682.8323 or https://theatrememphis.org/tickets/
