This spring, LoneTree Live will bring Jackie Sibblies Drury’s Fairview to the stage- a 2019 Pulitzer Prize-winning play that begins with the familiar rhythms of a family gathering: preparations, personalities, tensions, and the celebration of a grandmother’s birthday. But Drury’s play gradually disrupts those expectations, examining race, perspective, performance, and the ways African Americans are viewed and scrutinized.

Our roots are in Memphis and in the people who have gathered around this company: the artists who bring the work to life, the audiences who sit with us in the room, the volunteers who make things happen, the playwrights who give us new worlds to explore, and the supporters who believe in what we're building.

Roots to Rise is our invitation to invest in that community.
