Our production of THE DROWNING GIRLS was the recipient of 5 Ostrander Theatre Awards in Division I Plays for the 2025-2026 Season! Winner of Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Direction of a Play (Aliza Moran), Outstanding Ensemble in a Play (Nolita Palomar, Kate Peckham, and Nichol Pritchard), Outstanding Sound Design of a Play (Emily Rooker), and Outstanding Lighting Design of a Play (Melissa Andrews). Congrats to all the winners and nominees and we look forward to another fantastic season of theatre in Memphis in the months to come! 🛁

About HIR: Somewhere in the suburbs, Isaac has returned from the wars to help take care of his ailing father, only to discover a household in revolt. The insurgent: his mom. Liberated from an oppressive marriage, with Isaac’s newly out transgender sibling as her ally, she’s on a crusade to dismantle the patriarchy. But in Taylor Mac’s sly, subversive comedy, annihilating the past doesn’t always free you from it.
