Leaves are starting to fall 🍂 Time to think about your gutters.

Clogged gutters overflow and send water right toward your foundation, fascia and flower beds, and fall rain is when it causes the most damage.

We cleaned this one out and hauled off every bit of it. Local, family-owned, serving Memphis, Millington, Bartlett, Germantown, Collierville and Cordova since 2013.

Have gas logs? Your fireplace still needs a check-up every year. 🔥

Gas doesn't leave creosote like wood does, so a lot of Memphis homeowners skip it. But bird nests, debris and worn-out caps can still block the flue, and a blocked gas flue can push carbon monoxide back into your house. You can't smell it or see it.

Here's one we worked on this week. We inspect and service gas fireplaces, logs, pilots and flues all over the Memphis area. It takes about an hour, and you get a written report before we leave.

Get it checked before the first cold night.

Let's talk about why annual chimney sweeps matter in Memphis:

Every time you burn wood in your fireplace, tar-like residue called creosote builds up inside your flue. Once it reaches 1/8 inch (about 3 months of regular fires), it becomes highly flammable — creosote ignites at 451°F and a chimney fire can hit 2,000°F in minutes.

Most Memphis homeowners never know they had a small chimney fire. The tell is puffy, marshmallow-looking deposits found during the next sweep. By then, the flue liner is usually cracked and repair costs skyrocket.

The whole point of the annual sweep is to catch it before it becomes a repair.

Dryer vent fires are the 2nd top reasons for house fires!

🔥 It's getting hot in Memphis — and your dryer is feeling it.

Summer means your AC, dehumidifier, AND dryer are all running harder than usual. The dryer is the one most people forget about. Lint builds up faster when the laundry room gets warm, and that buildup causes 15,000+ house fires every year (per the U.S. Fire Administration).

Three signs yours needs cleaning:
• Clothes take 2+ cycles to dry
• Laundry room feels unusually hot
• You smell something burning when the dryer runs

If any of those sound familiar, give me a call. I can clean your dryer vent in under an hour, and most days I can be at your home same-day — Healthy Home Pros is based right here in Millington.

This deck got the full treatment: pressure washed, then stained.
The first two pics show what a professional pressure wash does to grey, weathered wood — clean side vs. dirty side. The third shows the finished stain a few days later. From summer-grey to summer-ready.
If your deck looks like the BEFORE side, give us a call. We do both — most companies only handle the wash.
