While we're all geeking about the new releases, I'm still boo-hooing over watching all my princesses on stage together! AND CAN I JUST SAY MY BLACK PRINCESSES AAAAATE!!!!!

I remember my uncle taking me to the store to pick out a new toy. It was an Ariel doll that swam and spit water, and it was the ABSOLUTE go-to for me when it was tub time! I loved that toy so much! And from the time I was 3 until I was 6, I'd have a Little Mermaid birthday party.

In 2024, my dream of meeting the mermaid that started it all for me came true! I was so happy to see my childhood mermaid singing with a new version that so many beautiful black girls now get to see!

D23 did its big one this year!! And someday I'll get to experience it live too!! ❤️
