The oldest surviving pair of Levi’s jeans, dating back to 1879, offers a rare look at the early days of denim history.

Built for miners and laborers during the American West’s boom years, these jeans show the rugged construction that made Levi Strauss & Co. famous. Heavy cotton denim, reinforced stitching, and the earliest versions of riveted pockets highlight how durability was the top priority long before denim became a fashion staple.

Today, this pair stands as a remarkable survivor from the 19th century and a symbol of the origins of workwear culture.
They remind us how a simple, sturdy garment went on to shape style around the world.

Judy Bloom is a Florida/Tennessee based artist whose work blends fine art illustration with bold Americana spirit. A student of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she majored in Illustration, Judy brings a painter’s eye and storyteller’s heart to every piece she creates.
Rooted in her deep love for nature, animals, and country life, Judy’s designs celebrate wide-open landscapes, strong horses, native wildlife, and the enduring beauty of the American spirit. Each jacket becomes a canvas — layered with movement, symbolism, and soul — transforming everyday denim into heirloom art.
Her work reflects both strength and softness: the power of a galloping horse, the quiet dignity of a buffalo, the glow of a Florida sunrise over farmland. Influenced by her Southern surroundings, Judy’s pieces carry a sense of heritage, freedom, and authenticity.
Through her wearable art collections, including her signature American Bold series, Judy invites collectors to wear their story — confidently, courageously, and beautifully.
