We create for months, pay for the spot way in advance with zero guarantee, drive out, set up for hours… and sometimes barely any customers show up. Fuel, food, time — it all adds up.
Things are really hard right now. A lot of people just order online because it’s easier and cheaper. But behind every artisan is a real person putting in the hours, the materials, the know-how, and a whole lot of passion.
What worries me most is that good artisans — people making beautiful things — might have to stop.
And if tomorrow there are no more artisans...
Fewer creators.
Fewer markets.
Fewer events.
Fewer chances to meet, talk, and discover real know-how.
Less life and less warmth in our communities.
A market isn’t just a place to buy stuff. It’s where communities stay alive.
