"Just about about a year ago, I set off on the road..."
Margaret here, the "Cross" of Campbell & Cross. Roughly a year ago this week, I hit up the open mic at Jumpstinytavern. I had been going to open mics with my ukulele for about a year, and while I was having a great time and met a lot of amazing people, I was wondering if it was leading to anything. I came outside after my little set, and a fella approached me carefully, quick to clarify he wanted to pick my brain and mentioning he had recently retired to the area with his partner Linda. Though I am generally pretty cagey, something about Larry L. Campbell inspired trust, and I said we should meet up to work on music that week. One year later, we are playing monthly at Squid Lips, are a week out from a fantastic debut at Village Idiot Pub, and are playing Merritt Island Moose Lodge #2073 for the third time. I have learned so much, and I'm so glad that Larry and I took a chance on one another!

Introducing... CAMPBELL & CROSS!
I am excited to finally announce this musical venture! After a year of wandering in something of a musical desert, hitting up open mics, I ran into Larry L. Campbell at Jumps TinyTavern. Larry and his wife Linda retired to the Cocoa Beach from Kansas last year, but after over 30 years playing in bands, Larry found he wasn't quite ready to retire from music. In addition to being a talented singer and multi-instrumentalist, Larry is a songwriter with uncommon wit and heart. We've been working on an eclectic menagerie of good-time tunes to bring to the Space Coast watering holes, including Beatles, Eagles, CCR, everything from Atlanta Rhythm Section to Warren Zevon.
We played our debut show at a private event this past weekend, and after months of practicing, it was terrific to share our harmonies with an audience. We're pursuing bookings now, so watch this space, and if you want Campbell & Cross at your venue or event, shoot me a message!
