What really happens behind the scenes when reality TV shows are looking for the people who will become their next cast? In this episode of The WOLF Media Festival Podcast, Jacquelynn and Richard sit down with Kelley Allen, CSA—a seasoned casting director and entertainment professional whose career has taken her from working as a child actor to casting reality television for major networks and streaming platforms. Kelley shares an inside look at what casting directors actually look for, how potential reality TV personalities are discovered and evaluated, what makes someone stand out during the casting process, and the realities of working behind the scenes in television casting. Kelley also happens to be the voice actress Jacquelynn hired to portray a character in her novel Echoes of Rose, giving the conversation a fun connection between Kelley's professional casting career and her work as a performer. Whether you're interested in reality television, acting, casting, or simply curious about how the people you see on your favorite shows are found, this conversation offers a behind-the-scenes look at an industry most viewers never get to see.
