I was literally just having a conversation the other day about how GIDDY I get when someone books any of my pre-drawn flash. In addition to offering Intuitive tattoos for YOU, tattooing has become a form of divination or receiving messages from the Universe for ME. For example, I have been asked to tattoo thistle at least 3 times this month. One has been tattooed, one has been booked & the other is lingering in the conversation stage while we plan.
After the third time, I realize I should probably look up the symbolism and metaphysical properties of thistle. Assuming there is a message in there for me. Of course there was. There always is. Of the handful of symbolism I found in my search, the one that sticks out the most is BOUNDARY SETTING and cutting off toxic environments. They are often used in various forms of protection, to ward the home. To defend against emotional attacks & represent endurance to thrive despite harsh environmental challenges.

I always could use a little reminder about boundaries. Who couldn't?

Sometimes the longing of homesickness that we feel can quite literally be for a home. Our home. It can also be for the places we call home, that we havent lived in for a long time, like the states we were raised in. Yet there is this other version of homesickness- where what we long for & miss so deeply isnt a place, but a point in time, a feeling or a version our ourselves long since gone to time.

I personally experience this feeling in all of its many forms. I think I even miss things from a past life, like remnants of energetic memory stuck with me leaving me longing for a feeling I cannot even name.

This is why we get tattooed. Each moment in time, the nostalgia, the memory of what we miss can be worn & carried with us into each new place .. that we too may some day be home sick for.
