This is a piece that I'm very proud of it is inspired from mid-century modern sculptor Henry Moore and is my own design the clients were from the UK and had a deep interest in this artist, it is sculpted from one solid piece of coastal redwood and is a piece that makes me very proud because I had come back from blown discs in my neck which required spinal fusion surgery and a diskectomy which I am very blessed to have made it through and still be able to chainsaw carve sometimes, this one was done one year and a few months after my surgery which is why I'm very proud of it because it shows how God always has a plan when things seem the roughest just like when he walked on the water in the middle of a stormy sea when he and his disciples had been rowing for eight hours on the Sea of Galilee and they were past the point of exhaustion it wasn't because they had done something wrong it was because he wanted to show them who he really was at the same time who they really were I thank God for this kind of love, have faith and love my FB friends

This was a piece that I'm very proud of because after 10 years of chainsaw carving I had hurniated my discs so bad that it caused me to have to have a discectomy and a spinal fusion for the second time but this proves that God is good and has allowed me to heal from my surgery because this piece was created just about a year after I had this major spinal surgery, it is my own design inspired off of the mid-century modern sculptor Henry Moore who these folks in the picture admired greatly and wanted to commission a piece that was in his style so after many renditions and submissions this is what we settled on as it was a great example of what type of work he did, it was one solid piece of coastal redwood that was quite hard to create because of all of the transitions and round forms that had no intersecting points to scale the model off of so I ended up building a 3D grid around my piece of clay as Michelangelo used to do in order to transfer his designs
