We lost our Bubba tonight. Felon was such a great boy that always could bring a smile to my face. Great big brother and one hell of a sport when it came to dressing him up in stupid outfit. RIP little man, till we see each other again. Tell your best bud Lucky I love him for me.

Working on a few big cigar ashtray stand prototypes today for the back porch of The Vintage Cigar. Got the paint part completed today and will be carving the tops and bottoms tomorrow. So far we have tried 3 different processes and we like this one the best.

Little project we worked on today. All Drew Estate Ci**rs : The Rebirth of Ci**rs boxes and a custom made top to hold a 6” ashtray and two glasses.

Debarking some ash burl we have had around for a couple years drying. If you would be interested in some please let me know. Got a few larger and thicker slabs for turning and epoxy projects.

That moment you realize your regular spoon isn’t going to cut it so you run to the shop, find some hard maple and make one. For reference that pot is 100qt and the paddle is 6” wide. Making salsa and spaghetti sauce today to can for the year.

Doing some more R&D this week with pictures printed on canvas. Previous we used a lamination sheet to get the high gloss look and the picture on the canvases. Where I loved the outcome it didn’t give the canvas look I was after. This week we started experimenting with a different process where we wouldn’t use the lamination sheets and you could feel the canvas texture. The first four pictures are the outcome of that experiment with the first two being 14” X 11” and the last two being 5”x8” prints. Still working on a few things, but at this point we are confident we are on the right track doing what they said couldn’t be done. Soon, very soon we will be accepting orders to put your personal pictures on canvas. If this is something you would be interested in, please contact us ASAP so we can get you on a list.

Last picture is of the new process (top) and the laminate process (bottom). Both come out extremely good, but as stated the bottom has a smooth feeling.
