Hi all!!! I don't think I need to tell you that LGBTQIA2+ owned businesses have more hurdles to navigate than the rest of us but did you know that they receive less than 1% of venture capitol dollars (cash investments in exchange for a % of ownership in the business) allocated for start ups?!!! In addition, LGBTQIA2+ business owners are nearly 1.5 times more likely to be denied business loans and financing than thier non-LGBTQIA2+ peers. This means they are more likely to be starting and running their small businesses on personal funds alone meaning they have a higher personal risk for any loss. Now I hope everyone is financially supporting thier loved and local LGBTQIA2+ businesses but I also understand that money is tight for a lot of people right now.... that doesn't mean you can't still support!!! This month I will be doing my best to share the ever loving s**t out of all the LGBTQIA2+ businesses out there and I invite you to join me! Share, like, save, favorite, hit all the buttons. Let's get them all the traffic that social media can offer (and if I miss sharing someone, please feel free to give me a nudge 😉 I'm doing my best over here). Wishing all my family and friends a happy and SAFE pride month!!!

YALL!!! We had such an amazing weekend at Great Lakes Fiber Show! Today was a little slower but that just meant I got time to walk around and see all the other amazing fiber art going on. As a dyer and maker, here's my haul (because I have yarn but I don't have THAT yarn, I know you know what I mean lol).. First we have this GORGEOUS skein of hand spun SW merino by , then some fun sari silk and chiffon silk ribbon yarn and this ridiculously pretty shaniko tweed that I will butcher in my very amateur attempts at spinning lol, all of those from , I got a pin loom from (thankfully it DOES come with a QR to instructions on how to use it!), and I scored some f**k it stitch markers from and both the Oogie Boogie and Golden Girls stitch markers from Wickedly Handmade ..... Go check out these other artists and give them some love ❤️
