We are super excited to be heading into the Fall and to get the Pumpkin Patch Rolling! 🍁🎃🍂

We do have a few small adjustments to our 2026 Pumpkin Patch Season Calendar…🗓️

We know that many families like to attend on Fridays, but unfortunately we are not able to be open the Friday leading into our first two weekends (we will be closed Sept 25th & Oct 2nd) this year.

We otherwise will have regular hours, 10-5 each day!

I would normally never parent shame, BUT this is the face of a mom who lost her baby.

Yesterday, Farmer Matt and I went out to check on the cows. What we found were 3 cows grazing and no baby. The cows casually walked all over the field with us and no baby in sight, so we started walking around the thickest sections of field.

No baby. No concern from the cows that there was someone missing.

The field has tall grasses and weeds so I wasn’t surprised we didn’t find him. We figured he was napping and went back to work.

After 2-3 hours of scoping the field from afar and not seeing the calf, we decided to get the side by side and do a full search. Finally, with our searching, the mama cow, Martina, remembered she had a calf and started frantically looking through the field and mooing for her baby.

After the sinking feeling of loss set it, (was the calf still in the field? Had a predator gotten him? Should we have just pulled him the night before?) We finally came across a tiny dark body in the grass. “He’s here! Oh god, he’s dead…” I told Matt.

I jumped out of the cab, ran to the tiny dark mass in the grass, and grabbed the little calf’s body- he was alive, but had poor tone. “He’s breathing!” I told Matt. I shook him a bit and thought he must be sick and we needed to take him inside…

Then what happened?
Nothing. The calf was limp for about 5 seconds.
Then, that little calf suddenly snapped awake.
He jumped to his feet and ran to him mom! 🤦‍♀️😅

Oh, FFS! I wish I slept that well! ***Cue Matt and I laughing and shaming Martina for losing her baby.

Look who decided to be born! We have been patiently waiting for Martina to give birth, and this little guy was spotted by Matt in the field. He was freshly delivered and just starting to try to get up! Martina was a little confused about nursing but her baby was persistent and knew what to do ❤️

We’re adding a little extra cheers to Pumpkin Patch season! 🍎✨
On select weekends, we’ll be hosting a beer garden on the Ranch in partnership with ❤️ All Heart Infusion ❤️ to help raise money for their incredible mission of providing infusion care at no cost to patients!

So, if you’re planning your pumpkin-picking adventure and thinking, “You know what would make this even better?” … we’ve got you. 😏🍺
