About the Collier Gallery at CTP:
Currently, the Collaborative Theatre Project is the only theatre space in Southern Oregon that features visual art exhibitions in conjunction with its main stage productions. Beginning with their first performance in 2017, the organization envisioned a space to promote local artists by offering a venue for artists to exhibit their artwork, to grow their clientele

, and to contribute to the overall creative atmosphere at the Collaborative Theatre Project. About the Collaborative Theatre Project:
The mission of the Collaborative Theatre Project is to offer quality professional theatrical productions supporting local artists, community outreach and educational programs, and to enhance the lives of members of our community through exposure to performing and visual arts.

Need Weekend Plans? ☺️

Come check out our current exhibition, curated by Martin Steele, featuring work by Lynda Hoffman-Snodgrass, then catch a performance of The Shark Is Broken, by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon. Both will take place until Sunday, June 21.

Lynda’s primary medium is watercolor, and recently she has been exploring new ways to present her paintings. This exhibition includes a traditional presentation of watercolors under glass, as well as varnished watercolors on paper that are then mounted on panels. The Shark Is Broken is not a complete documentary, but it is rooted in the true stories and experiences of the filming of Jaws. The play explores the behind-the-scenes drama, tensions, and conflicts between the actors, and is considered spiritually true to the events and atmosphere of that time.

NEXT WEEK! 😀

Join us for the Opening Reception of our new exhibition, curated by Martin Steele, featuring work by Lynda Hoffman-Snodgrass. From shared experiences in realism, tributes to spirituality, and journeys into abstraction, Lynda's work is a culmination and a sharing of her life experiences, dreams, inner visions, and all that she is. As a third generation artist, Lynda was encouraged to explore and express her creativity at an early age. Her primary medium is watercolor, with a strong emphasis on color and design, and the most important part of a painting for her is the message or experience that she wants to share with her viewers.

Lynda’s exhibition will take place from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, June 21 with an Opening Reception on Saturday, May 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Collier Gallery at CTP (Collaborative Theatre Project) is thrilled to announce its new exhibition, curated by Martin Steele, featuring work by Lynda Hoffman-Snodgrass. ☺️

Lynda’s primary medium is watercolor, and recently she has been exploring new ways to present her paintings. This exhibition includes a traditional presentation of watercolors under glass, as well as varnished watercolors on paper that are then mounted on panels. The latest substrate that Lynda has worked with are watermedia surface birch wood panels. She starts each of her compositions intuitively with no real outcome in mind, then as she layers up the paint, her paintings develop. Utilizing more than fifty years of working with watercolors, she works on a painting until she feels satisfied that it is finished. Lynda hopes that her viewers will enjoy her work as much as she enjoys the creative process of making it.

Lynda’s exhibition will take place from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, June 21 with an Opening Reception on Saturday, May 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, please visit www.ctpmedford.org.

LAST CHANCE! 😀

This is the last week to check out our current exhibition, curated by Martin Steele, featuring work by Dave Leibowitz. Dave loves technology and his work continues to evolve as new visual tools become available. He gravitates toward the unknown, is not afraid to fail, is always curious, and recognizes the importance of 'Play' in the creative process. This exhibition is Dave's journey from altered Polaroid SX-70’s, to early desktop digital art, and ending with mobile art, all photography-based.

Dave’s exhibition will take place until Sunday, May 10. Don't miss out!

Need Weekend Plans? ☺️

Come check out our current exhibition, curated by Martin Steele, featuring work by Dave Leibowitz, then catch a performance of A Man for All Seasons, by Robert Bolt. Both will take place until Sunday, May 10.

Dave loves technology and his work continues to evolve as new visual tools become available. He gravitates toward the unknown, is not afraid to fail, is always curious, and recognizes the importance of 'Play' in the creative process. A Man for All Seasons explores several key themes, including conscience, integrity, the conflict between individual morality and state power, and the corrupting influence of power itself. The play centers on Sir Thomas More, a man of principle who refuses to compromise his beliefs, even when facing pressure from King Henry Vlll, a message that is always timely.
