Come out to the Dr James Still Historic Office Site Visitor Center on January 1, 2023. Start 2023 with a new year’s day walk along the nature trail at this site at 12:00 pm. Stop inside the Visitor Center to also learn a little history about Dr. James Still and his historic impact on NJ.

Start 2023 off on the right foot by visiting a state park, forest or historic site on January 1 for a First Day Hike!

This year the State Park Service is hosting 40+ hikes and one lighthouse climb on New Year’s Day as part of America's State Parks First Day Hikes program.

More photos from our recent gathering at the center joined by NJ State Legislators & supporters. We’re glad to have an opportunity to honor and remember a great leader & pioneer. Oct. 7 2021 was a wonderful celebration for William Still, known as "The Father of The Underground Railroad" birthday anniversary. NJ State Legislators came to the Dr. Still Historic Office Site Park and presented to the Association a resolution proclamation recognizing William Still efforts as a abolitionist, historian, civil rights, and a entrepreneur. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us and our AMAZING team of volunteers for all of your hard work in making this possible! We appreciate you!
