"Support your local farmers" or "Support Local". These are phrases everybody gets bombarded with nowadays. But what if you actually did support your local vendors? That money will not get used to line the pockets of wealthy CEO's. It won't go into a multi-million dollar overseas account. It will get used to pay the kids school fees, their technology fees (yes, that's a thing), it will help pay for their sports, the fuel to get everywhere (moms, I see you, and I know how much running we do and how much fuel cost goes into it), it gets used to buy new clothes and shoes (how in the world do they grow out of everything within months?? 😫). It goes to feeding livestock and paying butcher bills. In short, when you support local, it really supports local businesses. We're at the tail end of the summer farmers markets and we all need your help! Please consider visiting your local farmers market to buy your pound of ground beef, or your package of pork chops, instead of going to the big box stores. You never know who's kids you help support. Or just stop by and meet your farmer/craft vendor and their kids. Because the kids also get up before dawn to help at the markets. ❤️

I will not be at markets this week. Today for Prairie Township Community Center Farmers Market, the gardens are flooded and it's been raining here all morning making harvesting a muddy challenge.
Tomorrow for Well it's my Birthday! And, Howie (my wonderful Husband) has made plans for the day.
I'll see you all next week! Monday Prairie Township Community Center from 4pm-7pm (Prairie Township Farmers Market) for the LAST market of the season. Tuesday at The Mechanicsburg Farmers Market from 5pm to 7pm and Wednesday Alton Farmstead for BYOB (Build Your Own Bouquet) from 5:30pm till 9pm.
Please reach out if you need anything. There's a possibility that we'll set up here on farm later in the week, keep an eye out for details.

Hard to believe that August is here! We might see some sprinkles of rain but that won't keep our vendors from bringing you all your favorites. Come check it out this Saturday.
