Here's the list of specialty tea tastings and craft sessions for Saturday, Sept 19, held in the Steeping Room. These tastings are guided by a tea professional and require an additional ticket. Tickets go on sale July 1st. Unless noted otherwise, sessions are $20 and limited to 24 participants.

9:15 a.m. - GABA Tea: Calm in a Cup or Just Clever Marketing? led by Certified Tea Specialist Debbie and Mike Raab - Tea Mentor of Tea-For-All Tea Shoppe. Note: this session is $25.00 and includes a packet of GABA tea to take home.

10:30 a.m. - Sip Strong: Tea & Protein for Energy & Balance with Melissa Fitch Ciccotelli of Tea You There

12:00 p.m. - Cheese & Tea Pairing is hosted by Stephanie Beeman of Central Wedge Cheese Shop, Carlisle, PA

1:30 p.m. - Terroir and How it Affects the Flavor of Tea is guided by Certified Tea Sommelier Karen Donnelly of Greenhalgh Tea Co.

2:00 p.m. - Creative Crafting: Tea Themed Prick-and-Stitch Workshop is a hands-on workshop (limited to 10) and hosted by talented Mechanicsburg artist Gail True. Note: this session will be held in Sweet Remembrances Tea Room.

2:30 p.m. - Embellish A Tea Infuser or Tea Bag Weight is hosted by mindfulness instructor Misty Patterson. Note: This session is offered at 9:15 am OR 2:30 pm and will be held in the Authors Tent.

3:00 p.m. - Green Tea in Many Forms- Comparing Japanese Teas will be presented by Debbie and Mike Raab - Tea Mentor of Tea-For-All Tea Shoppe

The specialty tea tasting sessions and crafting classes for Friday Sept. 18, have been announced. Held in the Steeping Room (unless noted otherwise), these tastings have a separate fee and require an additional ticket. They are limited to 24 attendees and are guided by a tea professional. Tickets go on sale July 1st. Class fee is $20.00 unless noted otherwise.

9:15 a.m. - Tea & Fruit Pairing by Certified Tea Sommelier Karen Donnelly of Greenhalgh Tea Co.

10:30 a.m. - London's Fortnum and Mason Tea Counter by Certified Tea Sommelier Teresa Weddelman from OH.

12:00 p.m. - Lavender & Lies: A Garden Tea Mystery and Tea Tasting guided by tea aficionados Marnie and Neil D'Amato of The Garden Tea Room

1:30 p.m. - Lapsang Souchong by Tea Sommelier Teresa Weddelman from OH.

2:00 p.m. - Craft & Sip: A Tea-time Creative Workshop where you decorate a teacup collage under the guidance of fine art artist and author Sarah Ickes Art. This class is held at the Author's Tent area.

3:00 p.m. - Tea and Honey Around the World promises to be sweet and tasty under the guidance of Lori Stahl of BeeBees All Naturals.

3:00 p.m. - Creative Crafting: Discover the Art of Kinusaiga. Design a Japanese Patchwork Teacup - this clever craft session introduces you to a beautiful Japanese style of artistry with instructor Demetra Luciano of Horizons Creative Studio. This session is $45.00 and is held offsite at The Bewitching Moon within easy walking distance of the festival.

The lecture schedule for Saturday, Sept. 19 includes a variety of programs, all included with your admission ticket. Seating limited to 50. Tickets for the festival go on sale July 1st.

10:30 a.m. - Tiara Time: Topping the British Royal Ladies with guest speaker Teresa Weddelman from OH.

11:30 a.m. - Creating Your Personal Tea Ritual with mindfulness instructor Misty Patterson.

12:30 p.m. - The Essential Home Apothecary, incorporating herbs and tea into your daily living with Tina Sams of The Essential Herbal Magazine and Susanna Reppert.

1:30 p.m. - Beyond the Stone: The Steeped Legacies of the Rushmore Four with returning lecturer Judi Slack from OH.

2:30 p.m. - Japanese Tea Traditions. The Way of Tea guided by Sachiko Houck

11:30 a.m. - The Chitra Collection: Masterpieces Beyond the Canvas with returning guest speaker Judi Slack from Ohio

12:30 p.m. -Bittersweet Brews: Tea, Sugar, and Chocolate in making of the Modern World with Mike Raab of Tea-For-All Tea Shoppe in NJ

1:30 p.m. - Basically Tea, a perfect introduction to tea provided by Kathleen Hippeli joining us from VA

2:30 p.m. - Pretend You’re the Guest: Planning a Tea Party hosted by Karen Donnelley, of Greenhalgh Tea Co. in PA.

Handcrafted Tea Cozy Competition - 2026 - NEW!
Calling all crafty knitters, crochet fanatics, or felted wool enthusiasts to enter your Tea Cozy design in our competition this year. Full details at the link below. Submit a photo of your cleverly designed tea cozy by August 30th. Voting for the best tea cozy begins online Sept. 10th and ends Sept. 20th, voting will also take place at the tea festival. Prizes, with a $400 value, will be divided among the top three winners. Start knitting! or crocheting! or wool felting to create your unique tea cozy.

New tea festival update! The Steeping Room will now be able to hold 24 attendees. Have you ever wondered what happens in that room when the tea festival is out of session? Rosemary's Machine Shop with apprentice welder Cedar takes over the space for most of the year. He recently purchased a new location and will be moving his shop and equipment which will create additional seating for the specialty tasting sessions. We are busy finalizing the tea tasting line up and will update the website later this year. Tickets go on sale July 1st.

Our 2026 Charitable Partner is Mechanicsburg Area Meals On Wheels. MAMOW does not receive funding from the state or federal governments but relies exclusively on donations from businesses, churches, clubs, and local municipalities. A team of 160 volunteers help to coordinate, prepare, and serve hot and cold meals to over 170 clients including the Mechanicsburg and Shiremanstown Boroughs and surrounding townships. We are excited to be working with such an important local organization.
