OBSN Tribal Members are invited to attend a special community visit to Bear Grease, an Indigenous reimagining of the classic Grease that blends powwow beats, humor, storytelling, and an all-Indigenous cast.

This production is a celebration of Indigenous creativity, representation, and cultural storytelling. Experiences like this help us engage with contemporary Native art while strengthening community connection and pride.

ATTENTION ALL OBSN TRIBAL MEMBERS

Project Nourish is an initiative created and organized by Gianni Lacey-Howard (Occaneechi-Saponi) in partnership with the Center for Native American Youth (Aspen Institute). This Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11am-1pm Project Nourish will be hosting a community food distribution to support OBSN tribal families and relatives facing food insecurity. This Native youth–led effort is designed to provide immediate relief for households in need of nutritious, accessible food options.

We are grateful to share that we have received additional food and monetary donations from Carolina Complete Health and Order of the Arrow – Lodge 104, allowing us to serve even more of our community.

Each food box includes essential items selected with care for common health needs in Southeastern tribal communities, including considerations for blood pressure, blood sugar, and gluten/nut allergies.

If you or someone you know would benefit, please help spread the word. Every one of our relatives deserves to be nourished.

December 13th, 2025
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST
Location: OBSN Tribal Center
4902 Dailey Store Rd, Burlington, NC 27217

This distribution is open to all ENROLLED OBSN TRIBAL MEMBERS and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. To support as many families as possible, boxes are limited to one per household.

If you’d like to donate or volunteer, please send us a message or an email to [email protected].

Thank you!
